I am a 56 year old male who serves as the General Minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) In Kentucky. My wife, Nora, just completed a remarkable 35 year teaching career in biological sciences filled with awards, recognitions and, most importantly to her, a string of students who learned to love the biological sciences and have made this field their career choice. We have four adult children (one married one, one engaged) and three granddaughters (Avah, Jenna and Amelia). We also have two Golden Retrievers who constantly teach us how to love unconditionally.
My hobbies include organic gardening, woodworking and golf. I am an avid reader and love to cook when time permits. I am committed to the stewardship of God’s creation and seek to the best of my ability to live sustainably.
Through the gracious hospitality of the monastics at St. Meinrad Archabbey in southern Indiana I am also an oblate of St. Meinrad’s commited to practicing the Benedectine way of prayer each day as a non-resident member of the community.
